Siyaha Festival (Asihaite in the Berber language), or the ‘Peace festival‘, is a three days festival that marks the reunion of the eastern and western tribes of Siwa after long years of war and dispute. Every year around October‘s full moon, Siwa dwellers gather to cook, eat, and pray together at the Dakrour mountain to mark their tribes‘ old peace agreement and to settle any arguments that have broken out over the year.
